The Gerber Obsidian gives you all the power of an ordinary pocket knife with the convenience of a multi-tool. You can see, this knife to start to show in his pockets, your friends "very soon. Here are my thoughts about the knife:
What I like about the knife:
1. My shaved obsidian is sharp out of the box, and the blade no problem, it held the edge for further work.
2. The 3.13 inch, partially serrated blade is much thicker than the blade on mostMulti-Tools and is still carry very practical for everyday life.
3. Their Obsidian comes complete with Phillips and flathead screwdrivers, file, lanyard hole and bottle opener. I love the idea of a bottle opener on your knife. Very handy!
4. The textured grip gives you a comfortable grip on the knife, and feels really good in the hand. The stainless steel pocket clip is in your pockets and easily interchangeable with a torque wrench.
5. Your fingers will be happy, some haveWithout lock up and down or back and forth motion. At such an affordable price you can not expect much in terms of the barrier thickness, but the obsidian's lock as a rock in the surf.
What I dislike:
I enjoy to the full design of the knife and I wish that Gerber would make an updated version with better materials and tools.
Overall:
If you are outdoors for a survival guide, or for everyday carry knife that is affordable andpractical then I suggest the Gerber Obsidian. She is happy to have the variety of instruments, if you are in an emergency.
